CUSCO: Historical and Ecological Tourism

Cusco is a very mystical city. Previously, the capital of the Inca Empire and one of the most important cities in the Viceroyalty of Peru. World Heritage Site by Unesco in 1983.

The Cathedral El Koricancha Inti Raymi

It is located in the south-east of the Andes, is the main destination of Peru, with an annual influx of about one million visitors a year and one of the largest in America. Called by the Incas and "Casa Morada of Gods".

Its name in Quechua, Qosqo (Navel of the World), because it started a network of roads that connected nearly all of South America. The department of Cusco has an area of 76.225 km² and the province of Cusco: 523 km². Is on 3350 meters above sea level on the point to the main square (Plaza de Armas).

Machu Picchu Sacsayhuamán Manu National Reserve

Its climate is cold and dry, has two well defined seasons: the rainy season between November and March, with temperatures ranging between 11º and 13º C and dry between April and October, with sunny days and cool nights with average temperature 9ºC. The city of Cusco is considered the oldest living city in America, with an approximate age of 3000 years to reach this city, its landscapes, travel is transported directly to the past.

The citadel of Machu Picchu is the most important tourist attractions of Cusco. Discovered in 1911 by the American explorer Hiram Bingham, this citadel is one of the NEW WONDERS OF THE WORLD.
